We transformed the home of this well-travelled couple from dark, heavy and cluttered to light, bright and breezy. While preserving and celebrating the best features and it’s unique charming essence, we gave this historic Palos Verdes estate a second life,. A cream and blue color palette balances the restored original terra-cotta and oak-wood floors and the client’s collection of stately antiques which were repaired, re-upholstered and repurposed.

With a new primary home out-of-state, this family cherishes special time at their beloved “beach home” overlooking stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Welcoming to their grown children and overnight guests alike, the bedrooms are comfortably furnished with unfussy white linen bedding, colorful accent pillows, and custom window coverings with couture details.

Mirrors sourced from Morocco, an heirloom rug from Egypt, pillows showcasing Navajo textiles, and authentic rush-seat Spanish breakfast chairs all co-exist happily and tell the story of this family’s many exotic travel adventures.
